Are red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and violet ever the same?
The steady movement keeps me from knowing.
ROYGBIV explores this ambiguous connection to the landscapes and personalities that are a part of my experience of the place. Thereby using photography as a tool to create my own world of memory to document how this liminal space transforms with every visit.
The title is an acronym for the colors of the rainbow. An optical phenomenon that often kept reoccurring during the many summers spent at home. When seeing a rainbow the impression of colors depend on the position of the viewer with every step the color-pattern changes slightly. Therefore no two people will see the exact same arch in the sky.
